As consumers, we are no stranger to “feedback” channels where we can provide comments on the service quality or the experience at a retail store or a F&B outlet. More often than not, complaints rather than appreciation are received. To counter that trend, and to nurture a culture of appreciation through action, Praisage, the world’s first online platform for consumers to show appreciation and gratitude towards service staff was launched. Since its establishment in early 2012, it has received more than 1,000 stories of praise on its website, contributed by praise-makers from all around Hong Kong. On its 3rd anniversary, it announced on their Facebook page that a praise hotline has been launched as well, enabling appreciation messages – in text, voice or images – to be delivered also via Whatsapp, Line or WeChat.
